Aurelian (Kaius Aurelian Bartelikos Drakol) – Half-Elf Sorcerer, Draconic Bloodline, background Noble
The Half-Elves of New Dawnland are a haughty bunch. Carefully monitoring their breeding through centuries-old noble lines, they disdain full-blooded “Vulgar” elves as gauche and alien while also looking down on regular humans for their general lack of cultivation.
Aurelian’s line (a commingling of the Bartelikos and Drakol houses) was particularly auspicious for its history of rare manifestations of innate magical power, as though inspired by the Great Golden Dragon herself.
When Aurelian (first son of Kaius Octavian) was born with golden hair and golden eyes, he was fawned upon in the high halls of Bartlesville. When that hair slowly turned into golden scales over the course of his childhood, he became an object for both scandal and awe.
Weary of the plotting and whispering and hoping to push his new powers to their greatest heights, Aurelian left the city.
